To Shamrock, Perryton....and back....again....

Last weekend I went home for a few days and made some presentations at two churches.  I drove home on Friday, drove to Perryton Saturday night, drove back to Shamrock on Sunday and then back to Red River on Sunday....so I was a busy driver! :)

I talked to the youth at the Perryton Church of Christ Sunday morning and then visited with the elders and the preacher Sunday after morning services.  It was good to meet them and get to share what I did and what I will be doing.  They helped me financially when I decided to extend my stay to December, and then have also decided to help me when I go back.  When I got back to Shamrock,  I did a presentation for my church after services on Sunday night.  It was great!  Several people had been looking forward to it, and that makes it better when people are actually excited about it!  We had finger foods and then I talked and showed some pictures.

As most of you know, I am raising all of my own support to return to Uganda.  I am still planning to go back in May, but am seeking God on that decision as well.  If anyone has any questions or is interested in helping financially or in prayer and want more information, please contact me. You can email me at rebeccaramsey@hotmail.com or just make a comment on my blog!

Thank you for all of you who support me, finanically, and through taking my future to God through prayer.

Here are some pics of me with my sister, brother-in-law and neice and nephew!!

I pray that God will help you to raise your funds. Where will you be going in Uganda when you return in May? I know what you mean about all of the driving and talking with churches. I've been doing much of the same stuff to raise funds for my trip to Uganda. I'm super excited and am leaving for Kapchorwa, Uganda this next monday.

good luck and God Bless your ministry

@snagbert - What church are you working with?  Well...the drive from Kapchorwa to Kampala would probably be about 6 to 6 1/2 hours..on a good day depending on the roads.  And that is just my opinion... and if I remember correctly on how to get up there.  I would imagine that you would go through Mbale...but I could be wrong there too.  They were working on the roads, and actually making progress when I left...but it is Africa, so it could be back to horrible! :)  I am jealous that you are going so soon...I wish I was!

@RRRamsey -

I'm working at a church called "Christ's Alive Glorious Ministries International" in Kapchorwa. I'll be working along side Godwin tom Soyekwo and his brother Aggrey Soyekwo. I'm excited to be leaving and this will be my first time in Africa, so, i'm super excited with that as well.I've heard that the roads are kinda dicey, but i'm praying and hoping for the best. I believe i will pass through Mbale, but i'm not sure on that.
